Eczema is a common skin condition that makes your skin itchy, dry and thicken. If you’ve experienced itchy, red and dry patches that won’t go away, especially when they get worse with cold weather, stress and harsh products. Then there’s a chance that it’s related to eczema, but don’t panic. Let’s talk about it.

Anyone at any age has the possibility to get eczema, from newborn babies to adults. According to the National Eczema Society, atopic eczema which is the most common form of eczema affects 1 in 5 children and 1 in 10 adults in the UK.

In addition, it doesn’t look the same on everybody. Sometimes it’s a rough patch of skin that won’t go away, while sometimes it might be a cluster of tiny, itchy bumps. Also, these symptoms could appear anywhere on your skin, such as elbows and knees.

Besides, there are several types of eczema, such as atopic eczema and contact dermatitis. Certain types of eczema are more common in specific groups of people, depending on factors like age and gender.
